I am trying to change my valve cover gasket on a v6 3.8 1992 thunderbird. i need to move the fillem i think?

IT IS THE THING THAT SAYS FUEL INJECTED 3.8 AND IT COVERS THE DRIVERS SIDE VALVE COVER, HOW DO I GET IT OFF?I am trying to change my valve cover gasket on a v6 3.8 1992 thunderbird. i need to move the fillem i think? It is your upper intake manifold. There will be six bolts near the center of the engine to remove them, and then you have to be careful of the intake tubing, vacuum lines, and some connectors they may have attached to that as well. Also, the throttle cable is there too. Is a pain, but can be done. May want to get a new gasket for that upper intake piece, as most likley it'll tear on you when removing that piece. Hope this helps some.I am trying to change my valve cover gasket on a v6 3.8 1992 thunderbird. i need to move the fillem i think? You are only trying to change one? You should change both at the same time, it makes more sense.I am trying to change my valve cover gasket on a v6 3.8 1992 thunderbird. i need to move the fillem i think? Its the upper intake and yes remove it .I am trying to change my valve cover gasket on a v6 3.8 1992 thunderbird. i need to move the fillem i think?Correct. If it is a V6 then there is 2 covers, one on each side they should look almost identical with the exception of writing on top of them. Usually there is only 4 bolts holding the cover on and they should be clearly visible when looking directly at cover. I don't want to lead you down the wrong path, because I am not looking at the car, so if you insist on doing this yourself I recommend you go to the nearest autoparts house and purchase the Hanes manual for your particular make and model car it will have pictures and step by step instructions on how to replace the valve cover gasket.
