How do I change a valve cover gasket on 92 dodge caravan 2.5?

My van is leaking oil from what appears to be the valve cover gasket. It is leaking pretty badly, I plan on changing this myself. Is there any tips I need to know about? Make sure it's nice and clean, don't get anything in the head by accident. Replace gasket, use some silicone sealant and reinstall. Make sure you torque the bolts on.
