How much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug?

I know there is oil leakage but it aint so bad. I always check the level and it's full.

As for sparks plugs, I called VW and the last time the car had a tune up was at 62 , 000 miles. My car is currently 65 k miles (btw i bought it used..thats what i called VW)

Mechanic's shop prices including parts and labor

Valve cover gasket: $92

Spark plugs: $64

Should I wait to change them laterHow much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug? Why would you want to replace the plugs if they were done 3000 miles ago?

Just do the gasket if it is bothering you, or very bad.How much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug? You should never wait to change a part if you have an oil leak!!!!!!!!!! Fix it now and save yourself the headache. Plus that price sounds very reasonable to me. Hope this helps. How much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug?nah,,,,,,,,,do it nowHow much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug? The price for the valve cover gasket is about right, you may get it done cheaper elsewhere but don't leave it to long as an oil leak may turn into something major.

As for the Spark Plugs - they are one of the easiest jobs to do.

Get a plug socket (all auto places have them in stock) the plugs are cheap, sometimes less than 10 ($20 although the States tends to have cheaper parts than the UK so it may be cheaper than that)

Get the old ones out, carefully centre the new ones and screw them in to the instructions on the box and replaced the HT leads.

:~}How much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug? The valve cover gasket is about $20 and the plugs are about $1.50 each. Just do it yourself and save some money. Buy a book from an auto parts store and follow the step by step directions. It is super easy. How much should it cost to change a VW valve cover gasket and sparks plug?Spark plugs with 3k use do not need to be changed. If the valve cover gasket is not leaking, it does not have to be changed either. Someone needs to find out where the oil leak is, not change gaskets until they find the correct one. All it may need is for the bolts to be snugged up a little (5 to 8 minutes worth of labor).
