How do you change your valve cover gasket on a 97 dodge neon, and what value do you torgue your bolts to?

unbolt the cover, remove old gasket, clean the mating surfaces, put on new gasket,bolt cover back in place... you may have to remove other things to get to the cover, keep these things and their mounting bolts together, put them on in reverse order of taking off...

vave cover bolts are probably 15-25 ft-lbs....i usually tighten 'until it feels right%26quot;How do you change your valve cover gasket on a 97 dodge neon, and what value do you torgue your bolts to?you have to remove everything that's in the way of the valve cover then loosen the bolts for it,then remove it and clean mating surfaces real good ,i never use a torque wrench on those i tighten them all down evenly and then go about a half a turn until their all snug,its really not necessary to use a torque wrench on everything as long as their tightened evenly and not left loose it wont leak any,make sure the gasket stays in place on it when you put the cover down,that's all there is to it,there not hard to install,just take your time with it,you,ll do ok,good luck.
